| Abstract: | We provide a short outline of Baťa-system management principles as a contribution to the ongoing search for world-class management systems and managerial excellence in general. It appears that Baťa-system, being both European and American in its origins and being based on labor and knowledge integration (rather than division and specialization), represents a candidate management system of uncommon appeal. More, Baťa-system is not based on theory but rooted in practical experience of unprecedented performance, quality and business success. The Baťa-system experience leads directly to modern theory of process-oriented quality management, based on high-technology support and decision-making autonomy of employees. |
