dc.description.abstract	Diplomová práce seznamuje čtenáře s problematikou tabuizovaného tématu umírání a smrti a možnostmi ovlivnění kvality života v jeho terminálním stadiu. Zaměřuje se na paliativní a hospicovou péči o umírající. Snahou je čtenáři ukázat, že umírání a smrt jsou přirozenou součástí lidského života. Teoretická část diplomové práce vymezuje pojmy umírání a smrt a v souvislosti s nimi paliativní, hospicovou a domácí péči, které k této poslední části životní etapy patří. Empirickou část tvoří kvantitativní výzkum realizovaný formou dotazníkového šetření, zpracovaná získaná data a analýza výsledků.

dc.description.abstract-translated	The goal of this thesis is to deal with the issues of a taboo topic of dying and death and possibilities of influencing the quality of life in its termunal stage. It focuses on a palliative and hospice care for dying people. The effort of this work is to show that dying and death are natural parts of a human life. In the theoretical part, the terms of dying and death, and related terms such as palliative care, hospice care and home care which are parts of this last life stage, have been explained. The empiric part has been formed by a quantitive research which has been realised via questionnaire research, by data processing and the analysis of results.
