dc.description.abstract	Tato bakalářská práce detailně srovnává OpenBSD s Linuxovými distribucemi. Zaměřuje se především na výhody OpenBSD a nevýhody Linuxových distribucí. Teoretická část je věnována klíčovým vlastnostem, které OpenBSD odlišují od ostatních operačních systémů. Práce také komentuje nevýhody proprietarních systémů, jak ovlivňují soukromí, bezpečnost a kontrolu uživatele. Praktická část této práce nabízí pokyny pro nastavení a použití OpenBSD jako desktop operační systém a upozorňuje na jeho omezení. Dále práce poskytuje obsáhlý návod, jak nastavit media server a správnou zálohu s zajištěním integrity dat. Tento výzkum bude ukazovat potenciál OpenBSD jakožto spolehlivou a bezpečnou alternativu tradičních distribucí Linuxu a proprietárních operačních systémů.

Practical part of this thesis offers a step-by-step tutorial on setting up and using OpenBSD as a desktop operating system and highlights its limitations. Additionally thesis provides a comprehensive guide on how to set up a media server and establish proper backup procedures while ensuring data integrity. This research aims to demonstrate the potential of OpenBSD as a reliable and secure alternative to traditional Linux distributions and proprietary operating systems.
