dc.description.abstract	Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na analýzu fungování Mechanismu civilní ochrany Evropské unie a jeho uplatnění v podmínkách České republiky. Cílem práce je navrhnout konkrétní zlepšení připravenosti a reakce na mimořádné události, a to na základě teoretických poznatků a praktické případové studie povodní na řece Moravě v roce 2024. Práce využívá metod, které umožnily komplexní zhodnocení systému krizového řízení, identifikaci klíčových hrozeb a slabých míst a návrh efektivních opatření. Zjištění poukazují na důležitost koordinace mezi národními a evropskými nástroji a potřebu pravidelného školení a informování veřejnosti.

dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis focuses on the analysis of the functioning of the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism and its application within the context of the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to propose concrete improvements in preparedness and response to emergencies, based on theoretical knowledge and a practical case study of the 2024 floods on the Morava River. The thesis employs methods that allowed for a comprehensive assessment of the crisis management system, identification of key threats and weaknesses, and the proposal of effective measures. The findings highlight the importance of coordination between national and European instruments and the need for regular training and public information.
